		<description>Don -

It has been a pleasure working with you over your very productive tenure at SGA. At the Real Estate Roundtable (www.rer.org) our members have found SGA's communications and initiatives strike an impressive balance between the aspirations of committed environmentalists and the sensitivity to real world barriers associated with pragmatic practitioners. SGA has consistently proposed a positive and constructive set of solutions to sprawl related maladies. Your ability to keep a highly diverse set of constituencies under your umbrella is also an impressive achievement.

		<description>Don,

Congrats and I know we will be running into each other in DC in Feb. and NOLA at the PolicyLink meeting in March. I have the greatest admiration for your terrific work and appreciate the way you helped with with the EPA Clean Air Act Advisory Committee "smart growth" side of the air quality issue a few years back--the cd's you provided in bulk. I hope we get to work more closely in the future on "systems" issues facing us and for which your great background in smart growth is the best way of wrapping our arms around the challenges and seizing the opportunities.

		<description>Don,
I enjoyed being on a panel with you in DC concerning Measure 37 and its progeny, and am so gratified now that Measure 49 has passed. I know you'll do great things at the Ford Foundation, and leave SGA a healthy, vibrant organization that does a great service to us all.

Best wishes in your future endeavors,
Phil
